"I also don't believe that the campaign has anything to be ashamed of. I was worried about the early ads, but they improved. The campaign organization, by all accounts, was superb. The money was there. The enthusiasm was there. The turnout was spectacular in an off-year.
The hard truth is: people are still afraid of this, and our opponents knew how to target their fears very precisely. They have honed it to an art - their prime argument now is that although adults can handle gay equality, children cannot. And so they play straight to heterosexuals whose personal comfort with gay people is fine but who sure don't want their kids to turn out that way. One way to prevent kids turning out that way, the equality opponents argue, is to ensure that they never hear of gay people, except in a marginalized, scary, alien fashion. And this referendum was clearly a vote in which the desire to keep gay people invisible trumped the urge to treat them equally." Andrew Sullivan |

Just got back from Subway. Had an early morning craving for the new Buffalo Chicken Sub. Pretty effing good! On a side note, driving around in the morning tripped me up. It's a world I honestly haven't been privy to since UPS came into my life 18 months ago. I think it would take time but I'd eventually adjust to a change in sleep schedule if my transfer ended up going through. Fellowship of the Sun FTW! |

Hey buddies! Here's the good news. I am pretty sure that after a year and a half of working the midnight(graveyard) shift, I will finally be switching to the Twilight shift which runs weekdays from 5-9pm! Finally! On top of that I got my 37 cent raise so now I'm up to $11.57/hour. Next raise February 2010!
The bad news is that I'm starting to feel a bit sick. Couple that with the task of trying to maintain good relations with management at work and things get sketchy. The crappy thing is that I need the next two Fridays off of work. This Friday I planned on going to gville for vets party. Normally I would call in sick and deal with the consequences but I also want the next Friday off too because I'm flying to Atlanta to visit the family.
hope it works out. |

Hey people. My plan is to leave at 5pm on Saturday(25th) or Sunday morning(26th) to Tallahassee for some kids birthday extravaganza. I have a math class I gotta be at Monday night so I will be leaving to get back to Orlando no later than 12:30pm Monday. This gives us plenty of time to party Sunday night- Monday!!
Spots in my car are limited. Cronin has reserved one already. Anyone need a ride???
P.S. I'm assuming we will be staying at the Boardwalk at Appleyard Resort and Spa. Thanks to the staff and management for making this occasion memorable!!! w00t!! |

I do not think the death's of Michael Jackson, David Carradine, Farrah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon are terribly notable or worth devoting valuable news time and coverage too. There are MUCH more important things going on than to pay homage to a few celebrities. They died after living luxuriously for many years. I feel no pity for them. They may all have been great at entertaining people but that is not even in the same category as say the firefighter who dies trying to save a child from a burning building. Just some perspective. I try to save my empathy for people who most deserve it. |

| | Lady Gaga- Poker Face | ] | Went to a party with Lindsey and Mike. Met a bunch of new people. Even met some gays! And a straight person that said he was bisexual but that if I told anyone he'd kick my ass! LOL. After partying there til about 1:30am I went over to Rick's and Devon's to await the arrival of the Andrew Klein. We talked about so many things from finances to family to me being a total self admitted(and semi ashamed) creep. Ha.
Now I'm back here at about 6:32am and ready to sleep until 3pm.
PS- It's my 3rd week without meat and I feel fine. Now the important part is not smoking cigs while I'm drinking.(and when I'm not) That's the new goal I guess. God B Less. |

It's 4:18 AM and I've just arrived home from work. As I was leaving I jumped into a little debate amongst some coworkers and a supervisor about Iran/North Korea and Israel. I will not bore you with the details.(Obviously I'm typing about it so it kinda annoyed me at how ignorant some people are) Even people who voted for Obama. The Repubs do not have a patent on ignorance. We have plenty on our side. Politics is a game of getting dumb people to vote your way. Whether your way is for or against their interests is pretty much irrelevant.
Sometimes I think I have a bit of an OCD thing going on in my mind. Weird things I do(I'm kinda like Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly):
1. Sporadically check to make sure my car door is locked while I'm driving. It's bad cuz if I remember when there's a black person around I feel bad.(even though that's most likely not the reason I lock the doors) 2. I am a master of avoiding situations that I find uncomfortable. Whether it be hanging out with underage people that are drinking(police), or people smoking cannabis for the first time(my bro and cops) 3. I always scope out and get the maximum amount of information about all possible future situations. I think it can be annoying to some people when I pester them about upcoming events. It's just a habit I picked up. A habit that's paid off very well. By properly accounting and finding solutions to all the possible variables that might be thrown my way I feel a lot more at ease.I can confidently say I feel extremely safe around myself while I'm at home in my locked room.
The end. |

So here's the plan:
Wake up at about 11:30 AM and head out to Valencia for a 6 hour study session for Statistics. Sometime during that study bonanza Devon will call and we will have lunch!
June 28th Duck and I will be moving in to our new place. It will be sick!
July 4th. Might be in Boca or DC. Not sure yet.
July 10th I'm gonna see Bruno!
July 15th I'm gonna see Harry Potter!
July 27th I WILL be in Tally to celebrate Andrew becoming a man.(for the second time apparently... bar mitzvah boy)
August 4th I will hit up UCF and get accepted to that so-called institution of higher learning.
-------------------------
Tonight has been fun. I went out to Ale House with Lindsey. As I was sitting there I was wondering if Kevin would show or if I would be stuck having a lame night. To my satisfaction Kevin showed up right as I was having doubts. So we watched the Magic lose their magic. Had soem beers and spinach dip. As we were about to leave Kevin spotted a pretty much full order of chicken nachos on a recently vacated hightop and promptly asked our server if he might take them home. Luckily the server had a thing for Kevin and she even gave him a togo box!
So I drove Kevin and myself to the small party about ten minutes away. We had followed Lindsey to a home that she had been at the night before. Kevin broke the ice and got us welcomed in to the party by breaking out his *fresh chicken nachos.
So yeah, long story short we had a good time. I met some people. Two of them were hot(David and Luis). Too bad they were straight(or so thinks kevin). We drank some of the Caribou Lou concoction and hit up their hookah. So yes it was a fun time and they invited us over next Saturday for beerpong.
Kev and I left and i started talking about the intersection at alafaya and colonial always freaking me out at night because of the drunk fucks. Well as I was telling him the precautions I took a drunk fucker drove through a red light and would have clipped us if I hadn't been driving slow. We werent in any mortal danger but I would have been pissed if I had been hit.
This entry is hard to prolong. I just typing this cuz I want to remember exactly how much I enjoyed this. Going out with friends instead of just sitting at home.

HERE YE HERE YE: I have an announcement.
I will never watch Twilight, Transformers 2, or Twilight: New Moon. I cannot take everyone talking about Robert Pattinson anymore. That guy plays an OK vampire only because hes such a bad actor and vampires don't really get graded on portraying emotion cuz they are already FUCKING DEAD! God entertainment sucks these days. To top it all off Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails have stated that the tour they are on right now is their "FINAL TOUR". Fuck
BTW PS---- Zac Efron did stellar as usual<3 |

i got up really early today and went to VCC for UCF's Decision Days. I waited for 3 hours. They checked my app and basically said that I had to wait to be accepted until I pass my Stat class with a B or higher. She said I can still take classes for Fall semester but that's bullshit because I can't even sign up for orientation or sign up for classes yet. So August 4th is when I guess I'll have to crawl back to ucf. fuck them. |

I was listening to Mike Gallagher(radio host) on the way to work last night. He started a rant against Twitter and how it just feeds celebrity ego, self absorption, and such. I totally agree with that. But then he started talking about some article in USA Today were they stated "I don't care if Trent Reznor of the band Nine Inch Nails had too much diet soda on Friday." Dumb fucking idiot choose a better target. Trent's Twitter is the only one worth reading seeing as he gives away free tickets and back stages passes almost daily. He puts up concert pics and info constantly. He also keep me updated on when the NIN app will finally hit the G1 phone i have. So in summation I'd like to say Twitter is worthless and were it not for Trent Reznor I would have deleted mine weeks ago. PICK BETTER TARGETS RIGHT WING FUCKTARD! |
